WILW!

Image
I love that Sunday was Easter. The greatest example of forgiveness was Jesus dying on the cross for us and ALL OF THE WORLD'S SIN! How amazingly giving. On Easter we met at my aunt and uncle's home for an awesome Easter lunch. We then went to Ry's padres and ate another yummy meal! Needless to say, we are STILLED stuffed! Here are some pics! The ladies. Erin , Mom , and me! Sis, bro, and me! Doss and me! I HEART HIM! I am loving that we are 6.5 weeks away from our vacation with our B.F.F. couple at Happily Ever After! I also love that Mom is having her apron class on Saturday with Just Sew Studio ! I can't wait! I also am loving that my sis is getting pinned tomorrow at her nursing ceremony! I am super proud of her! Speaking of love, check out this beautiful video about the gift of love we can give to all! I am also LOVING that the storms are soon to be behind us, but right now pray for all of the people in the path and those with destruction and loss. Happy We...

What I'm Loving Wednesday!

Image
Happy Wednesday sweet ladies! I hope that everyone is enjoying their blessing of each new day and the life that comes with it! I love linking up with Jamie @ this kind of love . Check it out and link up too! This Wednesday I am loving that God has given me peace about certain issues and it feels so nice to see that my faith is growing. I love getting together with the ladies of my small group! I am loving that on Friday we went to Atlanta together and laughed the night away! It was a great evening with new memories made! This song is another one that I am loving! See my post from yesterday about liking slow music. What a gorgeous song with meaningful lyrics. I love that Easter is this weekend. I am not loving that I don't have a new dress for it, but I am sure I can find something in that closet of mine. It's a bit crowded. Our church is having a Good Friday service and I can't wait to see how God works through it. I am loving that my students did an amazing job tod...

Stylish Blogger? Who? Me? YES!

Image
My beautiful, giving, and God-fearing best friend Danielle from Happily Ever After blessed me with the Stylish Blogger Award! Wow! Here's how it works: 1. Link back and thank the person who gave it to you. 2. Share 7 things about yourself. 3. Award 5 stylish blogs you read. 4. Contact them and tell them about their award! Well, where do I begin... Jesus is my savior in case you couldn't tell from other posts. His father is my father and is the reason I exist, breathe, and smile! I love walking in faith with Him and giving Him the credit to the sole purpose I am alive. My husband, the Dossinator, is a beautiful soul. I love to hear him laugh, not just a little laugh, but when I really say something he thinks is funny. I feel like I hit the jackpot! I love waking up to him and falling asleep next to him. I could not ask for more! I went to a wonderful university tucked away in the fabulous mountains of north Georgia, hence the name, North Georgia College and State University....

My spin on enchiladas! Dosschiladas

Image
So, tonight I came home from work, played with Lyla, went on a run (2 miles...so proud), and then remembered I had to make dinner. Well, I didn't have to because we have some leftovers, but I wasn't feeling them AGAIN! Last week when I went to the grocery, my least favorite place on earth, I bought items to follow a recipe online at allrecipes.com . Well, I was ready for that one...except for the directions called for baking the dish for an hour and a half! IT WAS ALREADY 7ish. I was not about to have a grouchy Dossinator. I like him just like this: {helping prepare the tortillas} To make these yummy Dosschiladas: 1. I boiled the chicken (1 lb). 2. Next, I mixed up fat free sour cream (8 oz), shredded mozzarella cheese (2 cups), 1/4 tbsp of grounded red pepper, and added in my diced chicken to a large bowl. 3. Ryno started taking the flour tortillas and frying them in oil for 5 seconds on each side. When they were done he dipped them in a bowl of green enchilada sauce and l...

What I'm Loving Wednesday!

Image
I absolutely LOVE linking up with Jamie over @ This Kind of Love every Wednesday! {click the pic to visit Kory's site} I am positively loving that last night over 200 people came out to our friend Kory's porch to pray for him. He is battling AML and is at MD Anderson in Texas. Today he had his stem cell transplant. Tuesday evening everyone was dressed in red with their Bring It On shirts and bracelets. Leave some love on his CaringBridge site and add him to your prayer list if you will! Over Spring Break little Miss H, her mama, Lulu, and Nana all got to spend time in sunny FL! She turned one on Thursday and is a precious blessing to my Big in Phi Mu and Best Friend! :) I love seeing Steph as a mama! She's FABULOUS! I love that over Spring Break I got to read...no computer to distract! I read Emily Giffin's "Something Borrowed" and I am soooo ready for the movie! Now, I am reading Safe Haven by N. Sparks, my dependable man! I am loving Lyla's...

Top 2 Tuesday: Drinks

Image
So, today's Top 2 Tuesday is about drinks. All you normally find me drinking is water. I have been trying to get the Dossinator to drink more, so I bought some of the little powder things that he can mix in. It seems to be working! Just know the top 2 today are fun ones that I only have on special occasions. 1. Milkshakes. I know, I know...BUT I treat myself to my guilty pleasure about 3 times a year. This year I am almost to my limit, but I cannot even remember having ONE last year. So, the two that I have tried this year: a kid's cup of the Banana Pudding Milkshake a Burnt Marshmallow & Nutella Milkshake from Flip Burger in Buckhead These are heaven in a cup. The only thing that would make it even better would be ZERO calories! 2. Soy Milk - You can find this in my cereal every morning. OH MY WORD. I was down with drinking skim milk my entire life, but I think we've made the official switch to soy. Yes, even Ryno thinks we have found perfection. YUMMY! Anyo...

Just Sew! Studio

Image
So, I don't know if any of you check out all of the amazing craft blogs out there, but when I started looking tons involved sewing. My mom has sewn clothes, curtains, bags, you name it since I can remember. We used to have matching mommy-daughter clothing. I have only sewn things with her complete supervision except for 4 Flintstones costumes in college! I know I am surprised too! When she came to me with the idea to do a sewing class much like the popular painting classes that are being offered I became one of her biggest fans. I created the site, helped promote it, and designed her logo. I am praying that it becomes big. This is her talent teaching + sewing and they = something awesome! Sewing is a pastime we tend to forget about because we can so easily go out to a store and buy what we need in the time it would take us to make it, but where is the fun in that. Where is the unique quality of your clothes when 5 other people have on the same thing at a party. All of the...

Pictures + Cooking

Image
Lately, the only way that I have enjoyed cooking is by doing my favorite thing TAKING PICTURES! So, here is a recipe I found over at The Pioneer Woman and thought my healthy-eating friends may enjoy! I found this great recipe while making my grocery list! Ryan wasn't the biggest fan because of the lack of meat, but he still ate it all! First, boil your bowtie pasta. I get whole grain! Chop up your zucchini in smaller chunks! Slice grape tomatoes in half. *I tried not to eat all of them! Mince parsley. I am not the best at this as I kept thinking I was about to chop my fingers OFF! Mix it all together with a squeeze of lemon juice and a couple of tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil and put it in the fridge. I stuck mine in the freezer for about 20 min. since we were hungry. Loved it! It is a great spring/summer meal with plenty of raw veggies! Next time I may add in some shrimp or a little chicken so Ryan will like it more! We watched Life As We Know It with Katherine Heigl ...
