25 weeks!

Image
How Far Along: 25 weeks Maternity Clothes: Yes! I'm also having to borrow Ryan's tshirts to sleep in and wear around the house! It's so nice not to feel like a roly poly squeezed in a tiny tshirt! Sleep: doing better, but considering it's 330 in the am and I'm wide awake makes me unsure. We are at camp with our fifth graders and I got to bed a little earlier than normal. I'm hoping some blogging will be therapeutic and put Vann and I back to sleep soon! Best Moment this week: 1. My fifth graders finishing their CRCT! That is an amazing feeling knowing that there's a bit more time for celebration and unique activities! 2. Our doctor's appointment went terrific! Vann is measuring wonderfully and his heartbeat sounds like music to our ears! Our next appointment will be a 3D! 3. Some really cool answers to prayers have been happening, and I'm praying for God's will and guidance! 4. Ryan and I headed to downtown Athens on Saturday to catch the...

24 Weeks ... August is coming quick!

Highlights: Week 24 How Far Along: 24 weeks + 1 day Maternity Clothes: I am definitely enjoying the way they accentuate this bump. Without maternity clothes my shirts are extremely short and not flattering at all! My pants are done zipping! I found some lounge clothes at Motherhood Maternity after school today. I'm thankful that people create clothes to help make this time a bit more beautiful!  Sleep: I'm still using my Boppy Wedge. We have been walking nearly every night, so that's helped alleviate any back aches!  Best Moment this week: I would say nearly every day has been great! It's so nice having Ryan here and not working late hours. I am so proud of him, but man I missed him . Saturday was a day of organization! Is it too early to begin nesting, because I may have a touch of it? Sunday night we walked down to the pond to fish with Daddy. Lyla took a little dip as well. I went out to eat with Mom and Dad, too. It was fun to just talk and spend time w...

5 Month Update!

Highlights: Week 23 How Far Along: 23 weeks + 1 day Maternity Clothes: I love them. I mean, if I designed them I would put them at reasonable prices and make them a little bit more stylish, but they are definitely more flattering and comfy!  Sleep: Doing well this week! After planting flowers on Saturday, I was exhausted and slept like a baby!  Best Moment this week: I definitely had plenty, but one would have to be that the Dossinator is HOME and tax season is OVER! Woo hoo! I love having him here when it's daylight. Tonight we enjoyed a great walk. It's the first of many! It helps I got a new workout outfit...much needed! Mom and I went to Target and Babies R Us. I had her help me narrow down what we registered for (using her "mom" common sense)! It worked. We were out of there and registered. Ryan loved that he didn't have to walk around with one of those guns and scan stuff. I think he was scarred when we did our wedding registry. I am most ...

Week 22

Image
Highlights: Week 22 How Far Along: 22 weeks + 1 day Total Weight Gain/Loss: not counting until I go back to the doctor... :) Maternity Clothes: Yes. And that's all I need to say. The belly is a-stretchin'.  Sleep: Getting a bit more difficult. I wake up at random times and can't go back to sleep for about 30 minutes. This has never been an issue, and I don't want to start now! I'm still cuddling up to my Boppy Wedge pillow. Thankful that it's not a big pillow that takes up the entire bed, and it's easy to slide around. Best Moment this week: Seeing Vann kick from the outside. I was reading on the beach, he would kick, and my book that was balancing on my belly would pop up a bit. Mom and I would watch as he kicked around! Food Cravings: This week it was shrimp and grits. I was at the beach with mama and finally had them our last night there. It was completely worth it and I enjoyed every bite. How’s Mama? I am doing great! I can't ...

Our happy place!

Image
**some of this post was written at the beach and some at home...forgive me for switching from past and present tense** Mom and I are enjoying our happy place..the beach! We are both reading, relaxing, and getting some sun! We arrived on Wednesday to be greeted with rain, but like the song says ... Rain is a good thing. It gave us time to buy groceries, a couple other things, and let up enough for a walk on the beach! Thursday was a rain-free day, but cloudy until late afternoon! We did enjoy sitting out on the beach after an adventurous morning. We headed over to Baytowne Wharf to visit one of Mom's sweet college friends who is down now as well with three of her children! We enjoyed brunch at Another Broken Egg cafe and hung out with Becky! The beach wasn't too crowded, so we found a spot and relaxed. We decided on a little restaurant some of us had been to last time we were down. It didn't disappoint and the wait was short!! On Friday w...

Vann has been baking for 21 weeks!

Image
We are so excited to make it to the halfway point. Now, only 19 weeks left until we get to see our little Vann Hudson! Who's ready? Not sure who is more excited! Highlights: Week 21 How Far Along: 21 weeks + 1 day Total Weight Gain/Loss: 12 lbs Maternity Clothes: Motherhood Maternity had a little sale on their short sleeve v-neck tees! That's one thing that I love to wear in the spring, and let's face it...mine from last spring aren't fitting! So, had a little moment of weakness and bought 4 shirts! I love them, and it may be all I wear (with pants of course) for this pregnancy. I should get 3 more...one for each day of the week! Sleep: I could sleep anywhere...it's bad! If I sat still before I was preggers this happened anyways, but now it's so much quicker! If I could change one thing it would be having a full 7 hours of sleep  and not waking up to have my bladder full again. Best Moment this week: It was a good week! I loved hanging out wit...
