Hair!

Image
It's true! I love my hairstylist! She is the sweetest and most talented lady! I look forward to getting my hair done with her every time! I trust her completely with my hair which is something a lot of my friends can't say about their stylist!  Today, even though I am headed to the pool, she wanted to curl it for me! Really, YOU are amazing Carrie!  She did a trim today and retouched my highlights! It looks shorter because of the curls, but it's getting LONG! I LOVE IT! Find the White House Salon and Spa on Facebook HERE !  Thanks Carrie! Love you!

Blessings All Around!

Image
This morning I woke up and had the song, "You are GOOD, You are GOOD, When there's nothing good in me!" repeating in my head. Blessings have been flowing all around me. I was able to write a check for my Haiti mission trip because of opportunities that have been given to me. I have a family who is over 50+ pounds lighter than 2 months ago. I have a husband who loves me unconditionally. I have means to provide for needs and to give to others. I am blessed. I don't think we often stop and think about the good things that God provides. I know I don't do it nearly enough. Yesterday, I was going for a run and had just hung up from a call with a sweet friend. Nothing in particular prompted me, but a sweet reminder from God that He has given me all of these things. I stood there in the middle of the living room soaking this realization in. What am I supposed to do with them? This is the question I asked God. I know He will show me the answer, but for now I...

May, You really know how to disappear!

Image
The month of May has been a whirlwind of life! I was looking forward to May and then it literally slipped through my fingers. I am praying that summer is a bit slower, so I can unwind a bit!  May started off with a great sewing class. I learned how to make some cute pot holders along with some pretty suh-weet hand towels! I love the bright colors! I think I need a "beach" room. Maybe that can be added soon!   Mother's Day was celebrated at a new local restaurant called Ploughman's Pub. It was delicious and full of smiles and laughter!  I definitely have the BEST mom hands down! I am beyond grateful for her!  I also continued on my AdvoCare products and continue to see incredible results! Ryan finished up his challenge down 10 lbs and over 10 inches! I am so proud of him. Dad finished his challenge on the 24th and lost 16 lbs and over 8 inches! Words can't explain how much I love what these products have done for peopl...

Motivation

Image
In many aspects of life I need motivation! I always have had internal motivation for things like my job, appearance, and maintaining relationships, but it can never hurt to have a little push! Do you have someone that gives you that little push and let you know that you can do it? I hope I am that person to others. I do know that my life is filled with positive people that let me know I am worth it, I can do it, and they will be there to help me! I thank God for these friends and family members. They sure do make the bad days good!

So Ready For Spring

Image
I am so ready for spring (or some grey boots), so I can wear this little baby! Is this skirt not screaming sunshine! Mom had another sewing class on Saturday, and I got to make this sweet piece to add to my wardrobe. There is something so satisfying with making your own clothes with your own hands! This was the first time many of us had put in zippers. Another added bonus was the cute pockets! I love pockets...how about you? I also loved that I got to see one of my favorite Phi Mu sisters from college! Juliette signed up for the class! I loved catching up and sharing more laughs. College was even more fun than it should have been because she was a part of my memories!! I also got to sew again with Miss Krista! She is awesome and it looks like we had the same love for stripes in our pic below! Glad she shared the class with Jules! If you haven't already, check out Mom's sewing biz @ Just Sew! Studio on Facebook!

Valentine's!

Image
We celebrated Valentine's Day this past weekend. We stayed at Chateau Elan and had a relaxing evening and a great big breakfast.  We met friends for dinner at Versailles in Chateau and had tons of laughs. I often wonder after the dinner if people are highly annoyed with us! We laugh the entire time! It's hard not to with our comedians that we married!  I was glad that Ryan enjoyed himself! He has been working so HARD this tax season. I know he gets discouraged, but I am so proud of him!   On the actual day of Valentine's I surprised Ryan with a homemade HEART pizza (his favorite food), a sweet card, and a sweet book! He certainly surprised me with some gorgeous roses and a nice toast! It was a nice, peaceful evening!                 I am so grateful for love in my life. I am also happy that is not ONLY shown on Valentine's. I thank God for Ryan daily and am blessed...
