Oh love!

We had our own little photo shoot when it snowed! I just had to share! Married life is... THE BEST! I could not imagine that it could be this much FUN, yes fun! There are so many laughs in my day. Some of them Ryan and I share together and other times I just find moments humorous. Take for instance this morning...Ryan likes to set his alarm clock 5 minutes earlier than I wake up (he wakes up 15 minutes after me). So, his alarm goes off...he stumbles around reaching for it like he has no idea what that awful sound is...then switches it off. I am fully awake! He falls back asleep and I lay my alarm right next to his head (yes, this is mean...yes, i will get paid back) and the ALARM booms in his ear! He just flips over and goes back to sleep! I hopped right out of the bed after giving him a big kiss...fun times! Thank you God for blessing us! :) Please continue doing so for our family and friends!

Happy New Year

2009 was wonderful for us...here is a recap. Planning a wedding! Ryan graduating from UGA!! Ryan starting to work at a great accounting firm. Dana beginning a new position (after teaching for 2 years now the Instructional Technology Specialist) Closing on our new house! OUR WEDDING DAY! Honeymoon! Moving in to our house. Thanksgiving with our family (first one married) First Christmas! Happy New Years celebration with our family and friends! A lot has happened. I know I have missed out on something, but it is amazing to see how God has blessed us so greatly in such a short time. I am so thankful for my husband, family, and life. I hope you are having a great New Year with many more fantastic days to follow.

Father Daughter Dance

One of the favorite moments everyone likes to talk about from our wedding is the Father Daughter Dance!  Daddy and I had my friend Jocelyn choreograph our dance.  We went over to her house one night and learned the dance.  Then when Dad would get home from work we would have our own practices together!  It is one of my most treasured memories with my father.  Watch the video here!

Happy One Month

Ryan and I have been married for one month today!  Please go here for some pictures from the wedding!!  We have had the best month of our lives!  Thank you God for blessing us with each other and for letting us have these special holidays with our family! :) Love,  Mrs. D

Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue...6 more days until we say I DO!

So, it's Oct. 4 and the BIG day will be here before we can do all that we need to.   Here's a bit about what's been going on: On Friday night, Danielle and Callie pulled together an incredible group of ladies and we went out in MidTown.  We definitely met some interesting people.  We made lots of memories and had a rude but hilarious (now, at the time not so much) awakening at 5 am. The "ladies", if you  would call them that, were having a bit too much fun banging on furniture and yelling at the top of our lungs.  After calling the front desk one time and the party  not slowing down, my friend Ashley called and told the clerk very nicely at 5 am  we would gladly call the ATL police if this didn't stop.  IT STOPPED :)!  We missed Callie due to her parent's home flooding and them  losing tons of family keepsakes that had been passed down several generations along with  their everyday items.   Please check out this link to help .  On Saturday, my girls and I ...

Home Sweet Home...We are looking forward to making you our own.

So...we got a phone call. Well, actually I missed it, but Ryan did. On Thursday afternoon our wonderful realtor called Ryan and let him know that our offer was accepted. Then, after that exciting news Ryan texted me, "guess what?". I said "What!", hoping and praying it was what I though it was. He responded in spanish - we text in espaƱol, so I had to translate quickly that ... OUR OFFER WAS ACCEPTED! I texted him back a couple of times after tears came to my eyes. I quickly ran out of my office and hugged the first person I saw - Kim - our school's counselor! I think I scared her a bit, but she was soon excited when I explained the random hug! What a great day it was! After I got that call I left school and got to see Taylor Swift with Mom and Erin! Thank you God, we can't wait to make this house a home!

Home is where the heart is...

I would live anywhere with Ryan, because he is my home. But we have been looking high and low for a physical address, well really we have been searching the internet with the help of our Realtor. We made some offers and have seen some good and bad homes. Now, we have put down on an offer on what we hope and pray is the house. Please say your prayers for us if you will! As it looks right now, if we close within 30 days we will only have a week before the Big Day to move in!
