39 Weeks = Almost 10 months!

How Far Along: 39 weeks & 3 Days

Sleep: About 5 - 6 hours a night. I know I need more, but right now every time I wake up it takes me a while to start snoozing again!
This Week: A lot has gotten accomplished! Daddy and Greg delivered our furniture on Thursday and it looks AMAZING! For real, Vann's room is by far our favorite in the house now. It really is coming together. Just a few more finishing touches and it will be perfect! I can't wait to share a post about the room.
If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen this sneak peek!

I have taken a new job on over at the cutest elementary school. I will be the Media Resource Specialist! I am super excited about this awesome position that integrates technology and the media center to create the hub of the school. Friday, Ryan helped me go in to the media center and get a lot of it situated. He is an excellent moving man! We headed to check out childcare for Vann when I  head back to work. I am extremely pleased with our decision. It's a great place full of God's love and will allow him to have social interactions. I was so nervous about going back to work and sending him somewhere for a couple hours a day, but after talking with other working mama's, knowing their sweet children, and how well rounded they are... I am at peace with it.

We had a date night on Friday. I love my husband so much. Dinner and a movie date was something we hadn't done along in a while.  Even though the movie wasn't great, spending time with him was just what we needed.

Saturday was an early morning to go get my third basket of fruits and veggies from Bountiful Basket. What a great program. We are stocked up, and this week was the best basket yet. Then, it was off to the pool with Julie. I am glad there weren't a ton of people there to see me at 9.75 months pregnant in my mommy suit, but man did I enjoy it! That night, Julie and I went to an incredible training for AdvoCare leaders and learned a ton. Grateful doesn't describe the feeling I have for this company and team of leaders!

Sunday was a fun day packed with church, lunch with friends, grocery shopping, cleaning, and cooking for my amazing parents. Since they have both done so much for us and Vann, Ryan cooked steaks on the grill and I helped with corn on the cob, salad, and baked potatoes. To top it off we had a key lime pie from Publix and some of their organic vanilla ice cream! It was delicious!

{Just an example of ONE thing my Mom has done for me...my handmade  hospital gown is ready to go! The rocking chair behind me was painted and antiqued by Daddy!}

Monday was back to work for me! I enjoyed it so much. Then, dinner with our small group for the last time. It was a great evening. We sat outside at DePalma's and enjoyed sweet conversation. I decided to try the Eggplant Florentine since one of the old wives tales says to eat eggplant and it should spur on labor. No such luck for me, but it tasted great!

Food Cravings:  Nothing! I am full literally two bites in, but I know Vann needs something so I eat my meal. Thank God for my Meal Replacement Shakes. They are the perfect amount and I know Vann is getting solid nutrition. For all you mamas out there, check them out and let me know what questions you have!
How’s Mama? Feeling good! Today after work, Erin and I went to enjoy a mani/pedi. Surely this was the last one before Vann arrives. We shall see! I have gotten the same pink color on my fingernails the past four times. It's easy to say I LOVE IT!

What I miss: I miss being able to jump. It's a weird sensation when you forget your this far along and jump up. You quickly remember that it's not possible! I also miss just walking outside without breaking into an extreme sweat. I have been lucky that most of our summer has been cooler and rainy. I hated the gloomy rain part, but it did make me relax!
What I am looking forward to:Meeting our little man and seeing his personality. Mom mentioned that today and it's so true. I know he moves a TON and loves to go on walks! We will get to see soon!

Our Baby in Veggie/Fruit Terms: Vann is the size of a WATERMELON! That is exactly what my belly looks like!
Here's what TheBump.com says about average 39 week babies:
  • He's probably able to flex his limbs now.
  • His brain is still rapidly developing -- he's getting smarter by the week!
  • His nails may extend past his fingertips.
  Fun Facts:
  • weight gain: 35 lbs
  • stretch marks: Still none and I am NOT complaining! The coconut butter is helping out!
  • mood: anxious!
  • belly button: poking out, but nothing major. It just looks like a tiny bump.
  • wedding rings: yep!

Vann, We are waiting for you! It feels like waiting for the most exciting Christmas + Birthday + Vacation wrapped up in one! Last night we just watched you move all around! You may be the best baseball player ever the way you are swinging your arms around and sliding your little booty around! You've got it goin' on in there! Your first day of school is coming up, but thank God you are still in my tummy and I am not really sending you off yet! I am not thinking about that day, yet! We love you and will see you SOON! You are free to pop out whenever! Lyla is even getting anxious!
Love you sweet boy!
