Week 14

By Mama’s Minute - 6:25 PM

How far along? 14 weeks on Tuesday! My energy is up a bit more and feeling more like myself! Thank God! Our sweet baby is the size of a lemon!

Total weight gain:  2.5 lbs

Maternity clothes? Just wearing non-fitted tops and my stretchy jeans. It seems that is doing the trick for now. I am hoping with all of the tunics and longer tops out there that will be what I can wear in the winter time. I was pregnant with Vann in the Spring and Summer, so all of my maternity clothes are for that season.

Stretch marks? Nope

Sleep: I find myself waking up at least once at night and it takes me about 15-20 min to fall back asleep. My sis is a L&D nurse and works nightshifts, so I can typically text her and chat for a bit!

Best moment this week: Ryan and I had our 6 year anniversary this weekend! We are headed to celebrate soon.

Miss anything? I have noticed that I started sleeping on my belly and back a lot more than I thought I did. I will wake up and have to quickly turn to my side. I think one of the most things I had trouble with last pregnancy was sleeping and how uncomfortable I got. Thankfully I invested in a body pillow last go round, so I can use it a little sooner than 32 weeks when I bought it last time.

Movement: I don't think so, but just maybe I have. If I am really still I feel a little wiggle...it's so neat to think Baby D can move gracefully and has more control over movements and is even making faces!

Food cravings: This week it has been egg sandwiches. I normally make these for breakfast when I don't have my shake. I have been using the whole grain thin sandwich slices and a little bit of olive oil mayo topped with scrambled eggs and spinach lettuce!

Anything making you queasy or sick: This week has been heaven compared to the past several weeks, but the smell or taste of onions is not welcome by me.

Gender: We are praying for a healthy baby. I am ok with either! It would be wonderful for Vann to have a brother, but I also know he would be a great protector of a sister! We should know next Wednesday!

Symptoms: I have a bit of indigestion and a little bit of bloating in the evenings, but feel good otherwise!

Belly button in or out? In!

Wedding rings on or off? On.

Happy or moody most of the time: My moodiness has calmed down a tad. I am sure my family is happy about that!

Looking forward to: Finding out the gender (hopefully baby will cooperate in 8 days).  We can't wait :)

Sweet baby, I keep looking at photos of your brother as a newborn and realize the time has flown by with him. We can't wait to hold you in our arms, watch him love you and play with you, and make precious memories!
